Animated film studios in Hungary

Kecskemétfilm Kft.

One of the biggest animated film studio of Hungary. The studio has taken part in a lot of international productions, especially with France and Germany.
Since 1985, Keckemétfilm studio organized each two years the Kecskemét Animation Film Festival (KAFF).

Pannóniafilm Kft.

The other big animated film studio in Hungary. Besides commercial and current production, Pannóniafilms studio has created Grácia Alkotócsoport, an independant production department with a purpose to produce and promote animated films (mostly non-fictionnal) of young Hungarian filmmakers.

Studio Ex-ist Kft.

Ex-ist Studio was founded in 1996. The studio - managed by Gábor Morvay - is specialized in traditional and computer 2D. Ex-ist is often working with other studios in Hungary and abroad, especially in Germany and in France (with Les Armateurs for Kirikou and the Witch of Michel Ocelot).
Besides his commercial activity Ex-ist Studio has produced films if young Hungarian directors.
Some of Ex-ist films will be distributed in Belgium by Révélations hongroises. Amongst them, The Fairy With the Seven Heads of Andrea Kiss, Szelavi of István Heim and Katalin Riedl, Animal Lovers of Katalin Riedl, El Asesino of Márton Hegedűs.
